wonderful riverside stay

I had a really nice stay of 4 nights. the check-in was smooth and the staff was super helpful and kind. my room was spacious and clean with a comfy bed and an excellent shower. i also enjoyed the short walk to the riverside park. It was so peaceful.
the wifi was a little spotty in my room.

The location suited my plans for walking near Hadrian's Wall. I liked the building character and the outdoor area. Dinner tasted good and provided acceptable value for the money. The staff accommodated my late arrival.
Rooms are a little dated and needed a refurb. The price reflected this, but still.

a somewhat disapointing visit

separate pubmissing tap knobvery tired room
the pub next to the rooms was acceptable, because it was separated from the rooms.
the room looked very tired. on arrival, i found that the cold water tap knob was missing. i told staff about it, but when i left a couple days later, it was still missing.
